I have been to this place the last 2 years, I agree with the lady below BUT I must say I spoke with the owner and all the staff is new and was replaced to improve the image of this stable. My 2 boys aged 7 and 9 went on the 2 hour beach ride and what an experience! The guides were accommodating and experienced and gave us tips on how we should ride to make it more comfortable since we are newer riders. It was quite full for the week that we were there with groups ranging from 5-12 people depending on what day/time we decided to go. Always had a bunch of people enjoying the horses while we were there. I am much happier this year and love the new feel to the stables! Definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
My experience was sketchy and creepy to say the least. I went there with my kids in the afternoon on a Saturday to sign up for a trail ride. There was no one to be seen and no sign of people other than what appeared to be bunk houses with a bunch of trash in front of them. It looked like a bad horror movie plot. A dog that was tied up started barking and running at my kids (not friendly looking) and after 5 minutes of waiting, someone came out. He was shirtless and blowing smoke in our faces. My kids looked very scared at this point. When I asked where everyone was he said that they were all napping. When I asked about the trail ride the next day he told us to pay everything up front ($120.00) if we wanted a reservation. Something didn't feel right about this place so I said we would come back. We did not go back and never will. I was personally shocked that this place was associated with Spirit Ridge because Spirit Ridge is such a classy resort. I think they can do much better and these stables are going to effect their reputation negatively.
My daughter, Sierra and I went for 2 rides for the beach one. The ride was incredible and the staff there were really awesome. You girls at the stables did one hell of an awesome job there! We highly recommend this to anyone who visits Osoyoos. The horses are very well maintained and are very beautiful. We rode Ace and Reno. Awesome experience!! You won't be disappointed. Keep up the great work, girls!!
