Owner repeatedly harassed us about our journey, who was staying with us, the state of our car (we had been camping), and accused us of being partiers and smokers when really we just needed a bed to sleep in for the night. On top of it all he refused to give our damage/smoking deposit back because he said we left the ac on with a window open (we didn't do this because he had repeatedly harassed us about it the night before)and in general made us feel wholly unwelcome.
Bed was too firm, had horrible sleeps. The place would be an OK inexpensive joint otherwise.
When it comes to the selection of the best motel in town and specially a motel with a pool in Osoyoos, the only name that will come to your mind is Adriatic Motel. They are the best in service, and are always very accommodating. I have always been looking for something like this and thank God I have finally found one. From now onwards, anytime I want to be with friends and is planning for some kind of vacation, I think my first choice will be Adriatic Motel. Thank you for being so hospitable and accommodating. It is really a great stay with you guys and most comforting as well.
We had gone to Osoyoos for several years before discovering this gem--in our minds the most beautiful spot on the beach in Osoyoos. We noticed when walking down to the Holiday Inn for a boat rental that Adriatic Motel front is the cleanest in town--the owners rake and clean it every day. We noticed and appreciated the improvements that Sherry and Brent have done since last year--paved driveway (way less dusty), beautiful stone/iron work along the front of the orchard, new flower beds etc. The introduction of "Family Night" on Wednesday evening was fabulous--who knew Brent was such an entertainer! Kids and adults participated and had a great time. Homemade carrot cake afterwards--how many hotel owners bake for you? Really the perfect spot for a family holiday (three families with school aged children plus grandparents). It is "condo style" accommodation--you get motel with a pool, complete with kitchen and in our case, two bedrooms and a balcony with a gorgeous lake view, but no, you don't get housekeeping. That's okay, that's not why we go there! : (Send your kids for fresh tea towels and out with the recycyling, it's good for them!)
Affordable. Clean. Big room with separate living room. Kitchen available. Within walking distance of the action. Can't go wrong for the price.
