It was a very convenient location with nice beach access. Pet friendly. Rooms could use an upgrade. Hopefully that is coming as they have renovated the lobby and outside since my last visit. Beds are firm.
Its a little expensive because of the location - and the location is fabulous. Simple and clean, family friendly. Breakfast and fitness centre are nothing to write home about but adaquate. Pool and hot tub seem well maintained. Service is friendly. Its very quiet at night. Someone on my floor left their cooler outside overnight and it got stolen so dont leave your stuff outside here... or anywhere for that matter
Very nice hotel! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and we had a great time. HUGE bonus is the beach is just down the stairs, cant get better. Breakfast was okay but I found a lot of food was quickly snapped up however extra thanks to the lady who ran the breakfast area, she was always so busy but had a warming smile and was very kind and helpful! The rooms were clean and tidy, no issues at all. Overall recommend to anyone looking for a quality hotel.
We reserved a lakefront room with balcony, expecting a view of the lake. Beware of room 225! It looks directly at a tree and a stairway, and in the distance is the lake. All the other rooms on that corridor have lovely views. We asked if we could move, and they said they were fully booked that night. The next day we did get to move to room 220 which was really nice. When we checked out they said there would be a ten dollar fee for changing rooms! I objected to that, and to the fact that we had to pay the higher price for a lakefront view the first night (She cancelled that charge, but no adjustment made for the first night) They should have charged the lower price for room 225 and not called it a view room.Otherwise we found the location as expected, right on the lake. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There isn't much privacy but that can be seen from the photographs. Breakfast was adequate (they did have a cool pancake machine, hard-boiled eggs, yogurts and some fruit, cereal and some muffins and juice.).
Tried to book our vacation here. Reserved a room two months in advance with a kitchen because we have a baby I like to make food for. They informed us a month later that the hotel was flooded and re-opened the day we would have left so they had to cancel our reservation. It sucks but I understand they cant control a flood. They advised us of two other hotels in the area but neither had both a kitchen and were beach front properties in our price range.I called them back to see if they would give us the same room later in the summer. They have me the contact of the hotel manager. We reached out to the manager who referred us to the general manager. Again we asked the general manager to rebook later in the season and instead he booked us a room at the holiday inn without our permission for $200 more and without a kitchen. I tried to follow up with him and find out why he would book us at a hotel for more money without asking us but he never returned my email.Very disappointed in the service coast hotel has offered, our family will not be using coast hotels for any of our vacations anymore
