loved this camp ground so much! thether ball was so much fun, and our campground was a nice size! had a good sleep other than the fact we were so close to the lake it was so so windy at night only. in the morning it was so warm. the lake was so nice and close, but i found it was a little polluted. not sure if the tires were supposed to be in the water? the bathrooms were nice and clean and we met so many nice people! overall fun stay, although i did find the male owner a bit rude.
May be a little biased, as I have been going since I was two years old, but the owners are great once you know them, though they can come across as strict (Which is different from rude). The entire campground is managed by two people, give or take temporary employees, and is a level of quality that I've yet to see wherever else I go. Washrooms are cleaned daily (You'd be surprised how quickly people can leave a mess), and yes, the showers are coin operated. Not a bad thing, it means that you can have hot water for your shower. The site prices vary, but overall they are reasonable, and are almost literally netting the average minimum for camping in Osoyoos. They have lean-to 'cabanas' with a light, running water, and electricity, for a $4 difference from a grass site with just water. Needless to say, because of its quality, of course there's times of popularity where its hard to squeeze in a spot, primarily the long weekends. Don't phone them over the winter, because there's nobody there, call in May. Set up a site. Pay your deposit. Enjoy the hassle free stay! And, if there ARE any hassles, the management is UNDERSTANDING of the problems. Don't be afraid to talk to them by a gruff exterior!
We stayed in site B9. The sites are super tight and if you have a slide out you almost don't fit and you can only get the awning out about halfway. The upside is these sites back right onto the beach with no road to cross which is perfect if you have kids. The beach is well kept and has very nice sand. There are no sewer hookups on the beach sites but there is power and water which is a must when its hot. I'd stay again but try and come when its not very busy. If you had bad neighbors it wouldn't be fun.
Great campground - you can rent a little cabin with a fridge, electricity and a dish washing station. This is a absolutly great service for all with a tent. The wifi is fast, the showers are clean and the private beach is right next to the camp site. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He saved our honeymoon! Thanks a lot!
Nice campground... good prices... has a nice store where you can purchase items you may have forgotten to get... family run owners are nice... very helpful froze all of my eggs by accident and the owner gave me a carton for no charge... washrooms are okay.. coin operated showers you can shower good for about $2.50... it was our first time coming to osoyoos from Calgary and we will most definitely be coming back and staying here!!! Thanks again!!!
